Grade 1-7
Dear Parents,
Welcome to first grade! It is our belief that a cooperative alliance between the child’s parents and teachers is the first step in ensuring the student’s success in school. Please consult the St. Joan of Arc Handbook for all school policies. Some of which are:
· All homework must be signed and checked.
· All homework pads must be signed daily.
· All tests must be signed and returned.
· Children are to be in full uniform, including sweaters, each day.
· Lunch is to be brought to school in a sturdy lunch box.
· For safety concerns, first graders are to wear their backpacks on their back entering and leaving school.
All first graders will be given the following supplies by their teacher:
· 3 blue notebooks
· 1 black/white notebook
· Homework pad
· Glue stick
· Box of crayons
· Folder
Parents, please make sure your child has all supplies (including 3-4 sharpened pencils in a soft zippered pencil case (no boxes) with them everyday. Please replace glue sticks and crayons as necessary.

We are planning a very exciting and enriching year. You will be notified of all important information through letters and notes in homework pads. If you need to speak to either of us please send a note and we will make an early morning appointment.
