Dear Parents and Guardians,
While we can not always make decisions that satisfy everyone in our school family, the times we can are always welcomed. Thank you for sharing your concerns about our new start times for the September 2010 school year.
Both Ward Meehan Hall and Monsignor Boylan Auditoirum will open at 7:45a.m. each school day for the children to gather. All children must be in school by 8:00a.m.Any student arriving after 8:00a.m. will be late.
Half day Pre-K 4 and full day Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 must be in their classrooms in Ward Meehan Hall by 8:00a.m. Doors on 82nd Street will open at 7:45a.m.
Kindergarten students must be in the Monsignor Boylan Auditorium by 8:00a.m. Doors will open at 7:45a.m. At 8:00a.m. they will go up to their classrooms.
First through Eighth grades must also be in the Monsignor Boylan Auditorium by 8:00a.m. Doors will open at 7:45a.m. At 8:00a.m. they will go up to their classrooms.
Dismissal will be slightly altered as announced in the January 27, 2010 letter:
- Full Day Pre-K 3 and Pre-K4 will be dismissed at 2:30p.m.
- Half Day Pre-K 3 will be dismissed at 2:30p.m.
- Kindergarten and Grade 1 will be dismissed at 2:30p.m.
- Grades 2 and 3 will be dismissed at 2:45p.m.
- Grades 4 and 5 will be dismissed at 3:00p.m.
- Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be dismissed at 4:00p.m.
For those families who are concerned about different dismissal times, students may meet their brothers and sisters in Room 2 on the first floor of the main building. Pre-K students will be brought to the main building by one of the teacher’s aids. Supervision in Room 2 is conducted by Sister Alma Regina and another teacher until 3:00p.m.
From 3:00 to 4:00p.m. the After School Program is available for a different tuition rate if you are interested. Mr. Maya Navarrete can be contacted to make those arrangements and complete all After School Program registrations.
In September 2010, Full Day Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 year olds and Half Day Pre-K 3 year olds will have After School in the Ward Meehan Hall’s Early Childhood Center while Kindergarten through 8th grade will be in the main building for the After School Program.
